What was your most memorable *learning* toy as a child? How old were you?

Alison's Contribution:

Mine was a flute. Then I learned learned the oboe. My dad made the reeds on the same vice on which he made his flies for fishing.

Music performance is one of those "universals" - which teaches a lot of different things to different people and all find it enjoyable and a valuable experience.

In high school, the toy was a typing class .. I still almost type faster than I can think.

All the best,

Alison
