How to be mentored? How to approach a desired counsel for guidence that has start-up experience? I'm launching high potential growth business opportun

Alison's Contribution:

First of all, did you know that there is a way of posting your question to two categories at a time?

Wow, Three completely different questions.

1. How to be mentored? My recommendation: Approach it as a learning experience and take the opportunity to record your sessions if possible so you can go back and learn from them. You might also consider getting a coach rather than a mentor.

2. How to approach... My recommendation: Go directly; ask them whether they have the time and inspiration to mentor you.

3. Not quite sure what your 3rd question is about - it appears to be a statement. My recommendation - a) brainstorm/draw a mind map of the industries and what they have in common as well as key differentiators. b) research competition and how to approach the biggest initial buyers of your product/service. c) test out your plan with a few companies, learn from it and then fast forward at the rate to which you can service your clients.

All the best,

Alison
