Before you ask a question here do you use the "advanced answer search" function to see if the question has already been asked?

Trying to find a needle in a haystack of "related" questions or answers which happen to include a word of my search term usually does not yield good results - however interesting the distraction may be.

So, I generally opt to use the goodwill of those who have the time an inclination to craft a helpful response - and I'm often amazed at the results.
