thought I'd let you know how I prepared for the GMAT. No, I didn't enroll in any of the courses. Instead,
I bought a book on exam technique - eg scan first time through, answer as many quickly as you can. Then go through and take a good guess if you can eliminate half the choices. Then with the time remaining, answer the ones you can. Then check to make sure you put your answers on the right lines. (I was amazed to learn in the ladies that some people hadn't made it through the paper once, rather than a few times.)
I also bought a couple of exam books - I believe these are readily available. I set myself up in exam like conditions and took the test. Analysed what I needed to learn and brushed up on it.
Unless you have lots of money to burn, I wouldn't spend it on a course on how to take an exam like the GMAT.
Get lots of rest the days before the exam and bring something to eat (bananas were good for me) and a drink. Check the location out ahead of time if possible and understand the rules (I think there was a limit as to what you could bring in with you.)
Best of luck.
