I'd take a different approach. Have a look and see how you might get it to work for you.
First of all, recognise that the office politics, gossips and silos have a positive intention and harness the activity for the greater good of the organisation.
View the gossip as a network - a grapevine to disseminate the kinds of messages you want them to be talking about.
Politics - well they say all men will come together when faced with the threat of extinction. Now is the perfect time for organisations to unite and stand together.
How do you do this? Well there are about a million different ways. It has something to do with
Energy, Enthusiasm, Action (the right action, the best way the first time).
My pragmatic solution: Bring them together, lay the vision on the line. Give them a challenge they can sink their teeth into. Give them the tools so they can understand each other and work together...
Moving the masses towards a collaborative empowered working environment takes commitment, drive and encouragement. Celebrate the successes along the way. Make it Enjoyable!
