One of the great things about LinkedIn is that you can use it any way you wish withing a few boundaries. There is no one "right" or "correct" way. Another great thing is that we don't all have to be the same.

I'm inspired by the saying that a stranger is simply a friend you haven't yet met. I offer friendship - whether or not we meet in person.

So what? is the deciding question.

Maybe you don't need new contacts right now, maybe you never will.

You'll never know whom you might have met though the people you never gave a chance to know you.

Again so what?

For you I suspect being invited to connect is on par with asking you if you want a cup of coffee when your glass is half full. Wait until you get thirsty - you can always change your mind.... and change your mind again.

So connect with whomever you choose and whoever chooses to let you connect to them.

Most of all, enjoy your unique experience. LinkedIn is a true voyage of discovery.

All the best,

Alison
