Favorite time-saver?

Alison's Contribution:

The biggest timesaver I know of is being able to type nearly faster than I can think.... yes, I know there is voice input, but I spend more time finding and correcting mistakes before I send.

A long time ago, I told a government think tank looking at encorporating ICT skills into the cirriculum that the best thing they could do was to teach the kids how to get around the keyboard quickly - eg all the vowels except a are on the top row, hijklmnop are all in the right hand, etc etc. Still not convinced that qwerty is faster than dvorak layout.

I'm in favour of anything which goes faster, so I'm using Chrome tonight - I've used it sproadically and it seems to be faster at loading with the kinds of background programmes I use.

The one downside is that it doesn't have the Goole Toolbar (for spell checking) installed on it.

Best "time waster" for me is BridgeBaseOnline - many happy hours spent counting cards and assessing strategies.... LoL.

All the best,

Alison
