Tip 1. LinkedIn can be used in lots of different ways. Use it the way which suits you best. Some will try to tell you how NOT to use it - ignore if you don't like what they say. Just use good etiquette. If you break the rules, LinkedIn will let you know.
Tip 2. Enjoy the voyage of discovery as much as possible. With 36 million users, you should be able to find some like minded peopel with which to collaborate - regardless of your mind set.
Tip 3. Take what you need, give what you can without expecting any gratitude or recognition.
Tip 4. Someone said it's the squeaky wheel that gets the grease... so squeak away!
Tip 5. Put your linkedin url in your email signature
