Right: It's the right for each individual to have the opportunity to perform this civic function.
Privilege: It is a privilege attached to one's residency or nationality.
Responsibility: The absence of of accountability would cause the systems (justice, electoral) to fail.
In the UK, there was some talk of having "professional jurors". I say no thanks.
Abdicating your duty sets the very worst example for those that look to you for leadership.
I found my own jurors experience fascinating. Separating the fact from opinion was a challenge, deciding how to understand different points of view - given as "truth" and having the responsibility for making a decision about someone's fate rationally taught me valuable lessons.
