OK, this may be a real basic question, though I cannot find the answer (yet): In my LinkedIn Inbox, why is there a) no "delete" to get rid of old mess

Messages: Archive will remove them from your "inbox".

Invitations: Archiving removes them forever - I don't think the initiator can send a second one. Clicking "I don't know" will penalise the sender - if they receive too many, they will be barred from sending invitations or answering questions until they contact customer support (not an easy feat).
