I don't think there is a guide. You can however search for people using the following string in Google and then just open the ones which appeal. You'll probably recognise the names

substitute your industry for "industry", the job function for "speciality" below and your location for "city"

"industry" "speciality" "city" site:Linkedin.com -inurl /dir/

so something like

construction ~estimator site:linkedin.com -inurl /dir/
